Why was Peter MD's Trustpilot profile removed?

Trustpilot removed it for breaching the platform's guidelines. Before removal the profile carried five stars across more than 13,900 reviews — an exceptionally strong-looking record. Trustpilot delists businesses for reasons including fake or incentivised reviews, misuse of the flagging tool to suppress criticism, and brand misuse. Trustpilot does not publish which specific breach applied in an individual case, and we could not load the page directly to read the notice ourselves, so we are relying on consistent reporting from multiple sources rather than a first-hand reading. What matters for a buyer is the implication: the single largest body of positive feedback about this company has been judged unreliable by the platform that hosted it. Treat any five-star claim about Peter MD with real caution, and weight the BBB record more heavily instead.

What does the BBB say?

The Better Business Bureau rates Peter MD F and lists it as not BBB accredited, citing failure to respond to 2 complaints, against 19 complaints filed in the last three years, 14 of them closed in the last twelve months. The business start date is recorded as 13 September 2019 and the BBB file was opened on 1 March 2024. In fairness, 19 complaints over three years is a far lower rate than some providers we have reviewed, and only two went unanswered. The complaint content is the concerning part — including an account of a customer who had a consultation, never received any medication, and was told their account would be reviewed over a 30-business-day window before a refund would even be considered.

Which pharmacies fill the prescriptions, and does it matter?

It matters, and this is worth reading carefully. Peter MD's terms are reported to name Absolute Pharmacy in Lutz, Florida, and Partell Specialty Pharmacy among its partners. Both have documented FDA histories. FDA inspected Absolute Pharmacy LLC in Lutz between 21 March and 11 April 2016 and issued a Form 483; the observations included a lot of Testosterone Cypionate 210mg/mL that failed sterility testing, and a finding that the pharmacy had no programme to disqualify and re-qualify aseptic pharmacists after sterility failures, with no action taken to restrict a pharmacist following a failed test. FDA referred the matter to the Florida State Board of Pharmacy in February 2017. Separately, FDA issued a warning letter to One Way Drug LLC, trading as Partell Specialty Pharmacy in Las Vegas, in March 2019, citing serious deficiencies in the production of sterile drugs that put patients at risk, and a failure to obtain valid patient-specific prescriptions for some products. Two important caveats: these actions are from 2016 to 2019 and may well have been remediated since, and neither is an action against Peter MD itself. But if you are being sent an injectable compounded sterile product, ask which pharmacy is filling your specific order and what its current inspection status is.

What does Peter MD cost?

We have to be unusually careful here, because the company's website returned an access error when we tried to check it on 7 August 2026, so we could not verify pricing against its own pages. Third-party reporting gives a wide spread. For GLP-1s: a subscription reported at $270 for the first two months and then $165/month from month three, or compounded semaglutide reported at $199–$279/month depending on dose. For TRT: reported anywhere between $99 and $229/month depending on the source and programme, with veterans and first responders offered three months free and then a reduced rate around $77/month. Lab work is reported to be included in the evaluation fee rather than billed separately, which is a meaningful saving given labs typically run $100–$300. No insurance is accepted for anything. Because we could not confirm any of this at source, treat every figure here as indicative and get a written quote before you pay.

Can I get a refund?

Only partially, based on what is reported. There is said to be no cancellation fee, which is good. But the initial $270 covering the first two months of the GLP-1 subscription is reported to be non-refundable — so there is no meaningful trial period, and if the medication does not suit you in week two, that money is gone. Separately, a BBB complaint describes a customer being told their refund request would sit in a 30-business-day review window before any decision. Six weeks is a long time to wait for a decision on money you have already paid. Confirm the refund terms in writing before your first payment.

Is it available where I live?

Not everywhere. This offer carries restrictions across twelve states: Alabama, Arkansas, California, Idaho, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, North Carolina, South Carolina and Texas. The company's own promotional material describes treatment delivered to patients nationwide, which does not sit comfortably alongside a restriction list that includes the two largest states in the country. Check availability for your own state and the specific product you want before starting an intake — the answer may differ between TRT, GLP-1s and peptides.

Are the medications FDA-approved?

The compounded ones are not. Compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide are prepared by licensed compounding pharmacies for patient-specific prescriptions; they are not FDA-approved, are not evaluated by the FDA for safety, effectiveness or quality, and are not equivalent to Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro or Zepbound beyond sharing an active ingredient. The same applies to the peptide and NAD+ products, which are not FDA-approved for the uses marketed here. Testosterone itself is an approved drug class, but compounded testosterone preparations are a different matter from a commercially manufactured approved product. Since neither semaglutide nor tirzepatide is currently in shortage, ask what clinical basis supports compounding in your case.

Who should not use these treatments?

For GLP-1s: anyone with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2, anyone who has had a serious allergic reaction to the medication, and anyone pregnant, breastfeeding or trying to conceive. Common side effects are nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea and constipation; serious risks include pancreatitis, gallbladder disease and kidney injury. For testosterone: it is inappropriate in men with untreated prostate or breast cancer, it suppresses fertility and should not be started by anyone trying to conceive, and it can raise red blood cell count, requiring monitoring — never start TRT without baseline and follow-up blood work. How much weight might I lose on a GLP-1?

No provider can promise an outcome. For context from trials of the FDA-approved branded products: in STEP 1, adults with overweight or obesity without diabetes taking semaglutide 2.4 mg weekly alongside lifestyle support lost a mean 14.9% of body weight at 68 weeks, versus 2.4% on placebo (Wilding et al., New England Journal of Medicine, 2021). In SURMOUNT-1, tirzepatide 15 mg produced a mean 20.9% reduction at 72 weeks versus 3.1% on placebo. Both trials ran well over a year and studied approved branded injectables, not compounded preparations.
