Shed is a real, established US telehealth business, trading since 1 December 2022 according to BBB records — three and a half years, which puts it well ahead of the storefronts that appeared in the last year. It lists a corporate address at 10813 S River Front Pkwy, Suite 550, South Jordan, Utah, with a BBB profile filed in Lehi. It rebranded from ShedRx to Shed with the same entity and operations behind it. We found no FDA warning letter against it, which matters in a category where the FDA has written to well over 100 telehealth and compounding operations since September 2025.

What to check before you buy

Yes. ShedRx rebranded to Shed and now trades at tryshed.com; the legal entity and operations are the same business, which BBB records as having started on 1 December 2022. You will still see the ShedRx name across older reviews, and this page keeps its original URL for that reason. How much does Shed cost?

Checked on 7 August 2026, compounded semaglutide injections start from $159/month and compounded tirzepatide is advertised as low as $239/month. That is a meaningful change since our previous review, when both sat at $199 — semaglutide has come down and tirzepatide has gone up substantially, so price the specific molecule you want rather than assuming parity. Liquid drops and lozenges are priced separately, and brand-name Wegovy and Zepbound plus the Foundayo tablet are priced differently again. Health coaching, unlimited follow-up appointments, nutrition plans and the Pivot tracking app are included rather than charged as extras. Confirm your own quote at your target dose before enrolling, and ask specifically what happens to the price as you titrate up.

What is Foundayo, and is it really FDA-approved?

Yes, genuinely — and this is the most interesting thing on Shed's menu. Foundayo is Eli Lilly's brand name for orforglipron, a small-molecule, non-peptide GLP-1 receptor agonist taken as a once-daily tablet. The FDA approved it for chronic weight management on 1 April 2026, and unlike the older oral semaglutide product it can be taken at any time of day without food or water restrictions. In the ATTAIN-1 trial, participants on the highest dose who stayed on treatment lost an average of 12.4% of body weight, against 0.9% on placebo. The important distinction: Foundayo is an approved drug, whereas Shed's 'GLP-1 liquid drops' and 'lozenges' are compounded preparations that are not approved and have no published absorption data. If you want an oral GLP-1, those are very different propositions and you should be clear which one you are being sold.

What does the 120-day guarantee actually cover?

More than most guarantees in this category, but it has real conditions. Since 10 June 2026 Shed has run a 120-Day Guarantee: if you do not lose 5% of your body weight within 120 days, it refunds the amounts you paid during that period — replacing an older nine-month, 10% structure. Shipped medication remains non-returnable as a physical product, but what you paid for it is included in the refund. The conditions matter. You must be a first-time user of the eligible medication class, so prior use of a GLP-1, compounded or branded, disqualifies you. Your baseline and goal weights are recorded and locked at enrolment and cannot be changed. And you must complete four Member Commitments during the period, including attending all four monthly coaching appointments. Miss a coaching call and you can lose the guarantee. Read the current terms before enrolling — this is a genuine outcome guarantee rather than the 'refund only if we decline you' promise most competitors offer, but it is not unconditional.

What is the complaint record like?

Mixed, and worth understanding properly because the two main sources point different ways. Trustpilot is strong: roughly 4.7 out of 5 across about 980 reviews, with Shed replying to 100% of negative reviews. That is a large sample and an unusually good engagement rate. The BBB picture is harsher: Shed is not BBB accredited, carries a B rating with the stated reason 'Failure to respond to 3 complaint(s) filed against business', and has 250 complaints closed in three years with 90 in the last twelve months. Across BBB, ConsumerAffairs and Trustpilot the single most consistent theme is billing friction — customers charged again after they believed they had cancelled. Refill shipping delays are the second theme. Our read is that this is a real, responsive company with genuine operational strain around cancellation and fulfilment. Cancel in writing, keep the confirmation, and check your statement the following month.

Are the drops and lozenges as good as injections?

Nobody can tell you that, and Shed does not claim it. Semaglutide and tirzepatide are peptides, which are poorly absorbed through the mouth and gut — the reason the approved injectable products are injectable, and the reason the one approved oral semaglutide tablet needs a specific absorption enhancer and strict dosing conditions to work. Shed's drops and lozenges are compounded formulations with no published bioavailability data that we could find, so there is no way to know how much active drug reaches your bloodstream compared with an injection. They are a legitimate option if needles are genuinely the barrier that would stop you treating at all, but they are not an evidence-equivalent substitute. If you want a non-injectable with actual approval behind it, Foundayo is the honest answer.

What should I know about methylene blue?

This sits in Shed's longevity range rather than its weight-loss line, but it deserves a flag because the overlap with GLP-1 patients is real. Methylene blue is a monoamine oxidase inhibitor. Combined with SSRIs, SNRIs or other serotonergic drugs it can cause serotonin syndrome, a potentially life-threatening reaction — the FDA issued a drug safety communication on exactly this interaction. A large number of people seeking weight-loss treatment are taking an antidepressant. If you are, do not add methylene blue without your prescriber explicitly reviewing your full medication list, and make sure any antidepressant is disclosed at intake.

Who should not use these medications?

GLP-1 receptor agonists — including Foundayo, Wegovy, Zepbound and the compounded versions — are contraindicated in anyone with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2, and in anyone who has had a serious allergic reaction to the medication. They should not be used in pregnancy, while trying to conceive, or while breastfeeding. Common side effects are nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea and constipation, usually worst during dose escalation; more serious risks include pancreatitis, gallbladder disease and kidney injury. Shed's other weight-loss options carry their own issues: topiramate is associated with birth defects and should not be used in pregnancy, and naltrexone cannot be taken by anyone using opioids. How much weight might I lose?

No provider can promise an outcome. For context from trials of the approved branded products: in STEP 1, adults with overweight or obesity without diabetes taking semaglutide 2.4 mg weekly with lifestyle support lost a mean 14.9% of body weight at 68 weeks, versus 2.4% on placebo (Wilding et al., New England Journal of Medicine, 2021). In SURMOUNT-1, tirzepatide 15 mg produced a mean 20.9% reduction at 72 weeks versus 3.1% on placebo. For the oral option, ATTAIN-1 recorded an average 12.4% loss on the highest Foundayo dose among those who stayed on treatment, versus 0.9% on placebo. Those figures come from approved branded drugs studied over a year or more, and do not transfer to compounded preparations or to drops and lozenges, which have not been studied for comparable outcomes.
