That pitch lands awkwardly for this audience. Doses are stated clearly on the product page, products are marked 21+, the FDA disclaimer is present, and there is a genuinely cautious 2mg entry point in the seltzer range for anyone who wants to try a low dose. Sitting inside Medterra's portfolio gives it more corporate substance than a one-person storefront.
But we judge hemp brands mainly on whether they will prove what is in the jar, and this one would not. The headline items: xtra bliss THC gummies at $79.95 for 9 gummies, which is about $8.88 per 10mg dose; Lights Out sleep THC gummies at $69.95; Full Spectrum Restful Night Bites at $49.95; Happy Tonix seltzers at $29.95 for the 2mg cans and $39.95 for the 10mg. Bundles run to $175.88. Free shipping starts at $75 — but the site notes 'Seltzers do not qualify for free shipping', which is worth knowing given seltzers are the cheapest way in. At roughly nine dollars a gummy this sits at the premium end, and the premium is not explained by anything we could verify about the testing.
Who actually owns Vena?
Medterra, and the site does not say so. Vena is a brand within Medterra's portfolio — it was co-founded in 2019 by Tamra Judge and sits alongside Medterra's other brands. The affiliate programme itself lists the advertiser as Medterra CBD LLC, but we found no mention of Medterra anywhere on venacbd.com. There is a further wrinkle worth knowing if you are considering a subscription or relying on the 30-day guarantee: Splash Beverage Group has disclosed a non-binding letter of intent for a proposed merger with Medterra CBD, LLC. A letter of intent is not a completed deal and may never close, so this is context rather than a prediction. Is the CBD side worth buying?
It is the more defensible half, with the same caveat that applies to the whole category. Vena's non-intoxicating line — tinctures, gel capsules, Restful Night bites, the soaking salts and the skincare — carries none of the intoxication, drug-test or November exposure of the THC range, and the 30-day refund explicitly covers 'our CBD products'.
